Business removals

Office and commercial moves worked around your trading hours, so the disruption lands on a Sunday evening rather than a Monday morning.

Office desks, chairs and filing cabinets wrapped and stacked in a removal van ready for a commercial move

The difficult part of an office move is rarely the lifting. It is that a business cannot stop while it happens. Every hour the desks are on a van is an hour nobody is working, so the move wants to happen in the gap between one working day and the next — and that means starting early, finishing late, or working a weekend.

We are open from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, and we do not charge a premium for weekends or bank holidays. That combination is most of what an office move needs: the flexibility to take the whole job outside your trading hours without the out-of-hours surcharge that usually comes with it.

Everything else works the way our home moves do. Desks, chairs, cabinets and screens are wrapped and secured before they travel. We photograph items, access routes and both premises before, during and after, which matters more in a shared or serviced building where a lift, a corridor and a loading bay all belong to somebody else. And we carry £5 million public liability cover, which is the figure most commercial landlords and building managers will ask you for before they let a van near the door.

Who this is for

  • Office relocations that have to happen outside trading hours
  • Serviced or shared buildings with booked lift and loading-bay slots
  • Shops, salons, studios and workshops changing premises
  • Clearing a unit at the end of a commercial lease

What's included

Out-of-hours and weekend working
Evenings, early mornings, Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, all at the same price. We do not run a peak rate.
Wrapping and securing for transit
Blankets and straps on desks, cabinets and screens, and trolleys through corridors and lifts rather than dragging anything across a floor you are liable for.
A photographic condition record
Both premises, the access route, the lift and the loading bay, before and after. If a landlord raises a mark on a corridor wall, there is a record of what it looked like when we arrived.
£5 million public liability cover
Evidence provided on request, which is normally what a building manager or managing agent needs before authorising access.
A fixed price against a declared inventory
Priced from what you tell us is in the building, so the invoice matches the quote you took to your finance team.

Worth knowing before you book

The things that most often change a job on the day. We would rather they were on this page than a conversation on your doorstep.

  • IT reconnection is not something we do. We can disconnect and move equipment, but bringing a network back up at the far end is a job for your own IT support, and we would rather say so up front.
  • Book lift access, loading bays and parking permits with the building at both ends before the day, and tell us the slot times — a move that is waiting on a booked lift is a move that is standing still.
  • Access restrictions we were not told about — a bay that closes at six, a lift out of service, a long carry from the nearest legal parking — can change the job and the price. Tell us at quoting stage.
  • Server cabinets, safes and heavy plant need declaring in advance so we bring the right equipment and crew. Undeclared, they may have to be booked as a separate job.

Business removals questions

Yes, and it is how most of our commercial jobs run. We work from 6am to 10pm seven days a week and charge the same rate for weekends and bank holidays as for a Tuesday, so moving out on a Friday evening and in on a Sunday costs no more than doing it midweek — it just costs you less trading time.

Yes. We carry £5 million public liability insurance and £20,000 goods in transit cover, and we are happy to provide evidence of either on request. Ask us as soon as you have a date, because managing agents often want the paperwork days in advance of granting loading-bay or lift access.

We can disconnect equipment and move it safely, but we do not reconnect it. Getting a network, a phone system or a server back up is specialist work and belongs with your IT provider. Plan for them to be on site at the new premises after we have finished, not during.

Yes — a commercial clearance is priced by volume alongside the move itself. We hold waste carrier registration CBDU574812, so anything being disposed of leaves your premises legally, and you get the registration number for your own records.
